Millennium Tower - a project of the B+D divisions Dry Lining and Interiors

The Millennium Tower is an impressive landmark of the skyline in Vienna and accommodates more than 120 companies of most diverse sectors, among them international groups like Xerox, Eni or Cisco.

In order to clearly stand out from the entrance to the hotel, an extraordinary dry lining construction was built for the entrance to the office tower. With the realization of an oversized shell with approximately 13 meters height and 32 meters diameter consisting of two interlocking elements, baierl + demmelhuber showed dry lining competence on the highest level.

The implementation of the shell was preceded by an intense planning phase by baierl + demmelhuber.
All radii and bends had been drawn in three dimensions and statically engineered in every detail. Therefore, it had been possible to develop and implement many optimization potentials regarding weight, statics, sound proofing and fire protection.

In addition, the furnishing of the lobby and the Back-of-House area also belonged to the scope of performance. The competence of the B+D complete interior fit-out was required: The implementation took place in perfect coordination and integration of the dry lining and the interior construction works.

At the Rigips Trophy Austria 2017, which is a renowned competition in the sector of dry lining constructions, the project was awarded silver.
