Successful cooperation with Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences for the EuroShop 2017 trade fair

baierl + demmelhuber has already been working in close cooperation with the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences for many years. For the most recent project, students of Rosenheim’s Faculty of Interior Architecture developed the design concept and overall appearance for the B+D stand at the EuroShop 2017, the international retail trade fair in Düsseldorf in the course of a competition.

Led by their professors Markus Frank and Josef Weber, eight two-member student teams entered the contest for the best stand concept. The task did not only include the design of the stand, but also invited the students to develop ideas for the presentation of project references and to design communication media from the invitation up to customer giveaways. The three top submissions were given 1,000 euros as a cash award.

Through several presentations during the contest, the jury, including baierl + demmelhuber’s executive management, heads of divisions, marketing and architects, evaluated eight excellent submissions and chose a winner after the final presentation: the concept „6 to 8“ of Nina Beßelmann and Theresa Zellner convinced the jury and prevailed against all other student teams.

Complexity – this is what the two Rosenheim students were so surprised and enthusiastic about when they got to know baierl + demmelhuber. Further, this was what inspired them to their concept for the B+D fair stand. Many layers, which are connected by an exceptional foundation and stable beams and therefore create an impressive sense of space. The perfect metaphor for what accounts for the success of baierl + demmelhuber in the cooperation with its customers.

B + D. conducted the following construction of the stand. In a workshop, the winning team was involved in the development process and furthermore invited to the EuroShop fair to experience the realization of their design.
