Italian flair at the new Lufthansa Lounge in Milan

A refreshing Aperol Spritz at the bar, locally prepared pasta or a freshly brewed espresso from the barista? Typically Italian! Lufthansa guests can enjoy all this and much more conveniences at the new Lufthansa Lounge at Malpensa Airport in Milan since 31 January 2018.

The Lufthansa Group takes a step into the future with its new and exclusive concept created and designed by Kitzig Interior Design GmbH. With a “local touch” the lounges will give its guests a little understanding of the country of departure.

The 550 square meters of the lounge accommodate 117 seats which offer their guests an ideal atmosphere for working and relaxing – privacy included. Lufthansa’s wish is that its guests feel at home. This requirement was met by room-dividing elements and an integrated lighting concept.

Another highlight is the ceiling-high window façade which offers a fantastic view over the apron of the airport. The stylish ambience is perfected by high-quality furniture and exclusively equipped sanitary facilities.

To guarantee this high demand also when it comes to the execution of the interior fit-out, the landlord contracted baierl + demmelhuber – due to maximum handcraft competence of the B+D units and the great project experience in fitting luxurious airport lounges.

Both the complete interior fit-out of the lounge and the building services as well as kitchen technology were included of the scope of works of baierl + demmelhuber.

The baierl + demmelhuber project team has perfectly executed the complex project. The lounge could be handed over to the extremely satisfied customer on time.
